Abstract
Positively and negatively charged cluster ions were produced from meth anol and ethanol samples under low temperature secondary ion mass spec trometric conditions, Neat alcohol clusters [(MnH+)-H-.], [Mn-H](-) an d mixed alcohol-water cluster sets [M-n(.)(H2O)(m)H-.(+)] and [M-n(.)( H2O)(m)-H](-) sets were recorded as the most prominent peaks in the sp ectra, Clusters composed of up to 30 molecules have been observed, Dis tributions of these cluster series, and also some satellite ion cluste rs observed with lower abundances, are discussed.
