Properly fabricated and doped Cm(2-z)Th(z)Sr2Cu(2)NbO(x) and homologue
s of Gd2-zCezSr2Cu2TiOx, both with x approximate to 10, are predicted
to superconduct, based on the charge-reservoir oxygen model of high-te
mperature superconductivity. In cuprate-plane models, (i) since neithe
r CmBa2Cu3O7 nor Cm2-zThzCuO4 superconducts, Cm2-zThzSr2Cu2NbOx is not
expected to superconduct; and (ii) Gd2-zCezSr2Cu2TiOx is expected not
to superconduct since a similar compound, Nd2CeSr2Cu2TiOx, did not. (
