Abstract
A GaAs detector made of semi-insulating, undoped (SIU) material was us ed to measure the profile of the 24 GeV proton scanning beam which was used for irradiation tests at the CERN PS, the measurement was perfor med at the end of the test period after a fluence Phi approximate to 1 .5 x 10(15) cm(-2). The result is compared with a profile obtained wit h colour centre densitometry in glass.
