G. Pajonk et H. Rickert, DETECTION OF THE INSTANTANEOUS ACCELERATION USING SUPERIONIC CONDUCTING CERAMICS, Electrochimica acta, 42(20-22), 1997, pp. 3167-3175
If ionic conducting, highly defective crystals are stopped by impactio
n, the mobile ions are accelerated inside the conduction plane. Theref
ore, an electric field corresponding to the separation of positive and
negative charges approaches during a period of I ps. Simultaneously a
n inertia emf is measured between the electrodes of the galvanic cell,
which is directly proportional to the mass to charge ratio of the mob
ile charge carriers, to the length of the galvanic cell and to the ins
tantaneous acceleration. In this work the effect of the inertia forces
on mobile cations in solid electrolytes for the first time is investi
gated on ceramic materials. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd
