Cerebral MR was performed in three patients with Sjogren-Larsson syndr
ome, In each case, a 1,5-T system was used, and the patient was under
general anesthesia, The MR findings included confluent hyperintense wh
ite matter lesions in the periventricular and deep white matter of the
centrum semi-ovale, with sparing of the subcortical U fibers, The top
ography of the white matter abnormalities correlated well with the cli
nical signs and symptoms.
