This article concerns liaison psychiatry clinical practice, Starting w
ith an understanding and delimitation of this field, the author descri
bes the processes of mediation and integration, pointing aut its chara
cteristics, Actually: the intervention procedures in liaison psychiatr
y run from asking psychiatrist to triangulate the relation with the pa
tient, previously established with a pediatrician, to a triangulation
of the patient's demand from the beginning of the medical intervention
. Both liaison procedures have at least advantages and disadvantages a
nd it fits with particular contexts and specific pathological manifest
ations.
