re not as common as in other organ systems. A variety of musculoskelet
al abnormalities are discussed in this article, including infection, a
rthritis, and neoplasms. A brief discussion of miscellaneous condition
s, such as avascular necrosis, hypertrophic osteoarthropathy, reflex s
ympathetic dystrophy, and bone marrow abnormalities is also included.
