S. Menon et al., PREPARATION AND ISOLATION OF A HOMOGENEOUS I-125 CORTISOL DERIVATIVE, Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 220(1), 1997, pp. 21-26
Tracer specificity plays an important role in the radioimmunoassay (RI
A) of steroid hormones. In this paper, we describe the preparation and
purification of I-125-labeled cortisol derivative with a carboxymethy
loxime-histamine bridge. The investigation on the method of purificati
on showed that HPLC could be adopted for the routine preparation of a
pure, homogeneous tracer. The retention time observed in HPLC for I-12
5-histamine-CMO-cortisol conjugate could be used as an index for quali
tative and quantitative assessments.
