Abstract
MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is a recent and exciting imaging mo dality that allows visualization of bile and pancreatic ducts without morbidity. Althought the technique of MRCP is in its early stages of d evelopment and MRCP technology is progressing MRCP will undoubtedly re place traditional techniques such as diagnostic ERCP. This article des cribes MRCP findings in bile or pancreatic duct diseases, analyzes the accuracy of MRCP in these diseases, and discusses the potential role of MRCP in evaluating the pathology of the biliary tract and pancreas.
