Abstract
Studies have been made of Y-type and alternate layer (ABABA superlatti ces) multilayer LB films using an iridium alkoxystilbazole metallo-org anic complex. Surface potential analysis demonstrates the polar nature of the metallo organic LB monolayers, ABABA structures of the iridium alkoxystilbazole (B) and polysiloxane (A) materials exhibit significa nt pyroelectric activity, This activity can be modified with exposure to elevated temperature for short periods prior to pyroelectric assess ment.
