Abstract
Tetrahydrobenz[cd]indole derivatives (51-54) were synthesized from 4-i odo-3-(2'-nitroethyl)indole (10) via palladium-catalysed coupling with acetylenes followed by a thiol addition, an oxidation and an intramol ecular Michael-addition.
