L. Tabourot et al., GENERALIZED CONSTITUTIVE LAWS FOR FCC SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 234, 1997, pp. 639-642
Simulations of the elastoviscoplastic behaviour of f.c.c. single cryst
als are performed. The work includes the setting of specific constitut
ive laws. The viscoplastic behaviour of single crystals is described w
ith a dislocation-based model. As the behaviour of single crystals is
highly non-linear, a dedicated finite element code is developed in ord
er to compute uniaxial tests with the tensile axis put inside the ster
eographic triangle. This simulation reveals wide possibilities of the
combination of suitable physical models and numerical tools. It is sho
wn that the adopted constitutive laws are able to give back complex ex
perimental evidence. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
