C. Holste et al., EFFECT OF DEFORMATION TEMPERATURE ON CYCLIC PLASTICITY, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 234, 1997, pp. 743-746
The stress-strain response and the dislocation structure have been stu
died on nickel crystals cyclically strained into the saturation stage
at temperatures between 77 and 900 K in a wide range of resolved shear
strain amplitudes. The paper surveys the effect of the deformation te
mperature on mechanical data and on parameters of the microstructure f
or crystals oriented for single slip. The microstructure is analysed o
n a macroscopic, a mesoscopic and a microscopic scale. On the basis of
the experimentally observed data some interesting aspects of recent m
odels of cyclic plasticity are discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.
