K. Marthinsen et E. Nes, A GENERAL-MODEL FOR METAL PLASTICITY, Materials science & engineering. A, Structural materials: properties, microstructure and processing, 234, 1997, pp. 1095-1098
The statistical approach to the modeling of the microstructure evoluti
on during plastic deformation of metals recently developed by one of t
he present authors (E. Nes, Modeling work hardening and stress saturat
ion in FCC metals. Progr. Mater. Sci., in preparation; E. Nes, T. Pett
ersen and K. Marthinsen, Modeling substructure evolution and strengthe
ning during deformation of FCC metals. Proc. Int. Conf. Therm-Mechanic
al Processing, Theory, Modeling and Practice. Stockholm, 1996) has bee
n further developed and applied in the analysis of the work hardening
behavior of copper. As demonstrated, the experimental observations are
well accounted for by the model. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
