IRREVERSIBLE THERMODYNAMICS OF A BINARY MIXTURE OF HARD-SPHERES - THEONSAGER RELATIONS

Using the kinetic description of a binary mixture of dissimilar hard s pheres following a standard-like Enskog theory, we prove the reciproci ty of the Onsager relations within the rigorous framework. This proof, added to previous results, places our description in complete agreeme nt with linear irreversible thermodynamics. A discussion on the form o f the derived entropy flux is also presented.
