Abstract
We have applied the meson cloud model to calculate the momentum distri bution of kaons and Lambda's produced in high-energy proton-proton col lisions. We show that it is possible to obtain a good description of d ata, especially the large x(F) (x(F) greater than or equal to 0.2) par t of the spectrum. As expected we underpredict the low x(F) part of th e curves, where central production mechanisms (fireballs, strings, etc .) are expected to play an important role.
