Abstract
We consider the production of hadrons (mesons and baryons) containing two heavy quarks by means of flavor excitation and partonic shower mec hanisms. We apply our consideration to pp, ep, and gamma gamma reactio ns at the energies of present and future colliders. We evaluate variou s contributions to the production cross sections and give the analysis of theoretical uncertainties.
