Abstract
Synthesis of mono-, di-, and triethanolamine with orthoboric acid and chemical structure of products as well as their properties as additive s in metal working processes are discussed. It has been stated that th e main and competing chemical products are: alkanolamine salt of boric acid, alkanolamine ethers and alkanolamine ester of boric acid.
