The (EC, beta(+)) decay of Hf-168, produced by the Gd-156 (O-16,4n) re
action, has been studied with high efficiency HPGe coaxial detectors,
using on-line measurements with the RACHEL setup. Off-line measurement
s were also carried out using catcher collection technique. Energies a
nd intensities of 119 gamma lines are reported among these only two we
re known in the earlier study of CHU and REEDNICK. The Lu-168 level sc
heme built on the basis of single gamma- and X-spectra and gamma-gamma
coincidence measurements, allows the interpretation of 79 gamma-trans
itions, between 38 excited states reported for the first time.
