The capabilities of neutron activation for trace elements geochemical
investigation are demonstrated on the basis of long term determination
and intercomparisons for the purpose of geochemical oceanic basalts i
nvestigations. We illustrate by a few examples the necessity of these
capabilities for precise petrological and geodynamical modelizations.
