Spray pyrolysis deposition of CuS thin films using aqueous solutions c
ontaining CuCl2 . 2H(2)O, thiourea and cationic surfactant, is present
ed. The transmission and reflexion spectra in the VIS-NIR region of su
ch films are recorded. The electrical resistances and photosensitiviti
es, as well as optical energy band gap (2.2 eV) are also determined. T
he spray pyrolyzed CuS films show p-type conductivity.
