Abstract
This paper presents an engineering geology evaluation method based on an artificial neural network (AN(2)EGEM). This method eliminates the d efects of traditional engineering geology evaluation methods, which re ly excessively on experience and are difficult to quantify. The paper also introduces the modeling of AN(2)EGEM and gives examples to testif y that AN(2)EGEM is simple, real-time, quantitative, self-adaptable an d quite effective.
