Av. Bagada et al., PARAMETRIC INTERACTION OF DIPOLAR SPIN-WAVE SOLITONS WITH LOCALIZED ELECTROMAGNETIC PUMPING, Physical review letters, 79(11), 1997, pp. 2137-2140
Parametric interaction of a propagating dipolar spin wave envelope sol
iton (carrier frequency omega(s), duration tau(s), and velocity nu(s))
with electromagnetic pumping (frequency omega(p) = 2 omega(s)), local
ized in a spatial region of width L, has been observed in magnetic fil
ms for the first time. The necessary frequency bandwidth of interactio
n was guaranteed by choosing L < \nu(s)\tau(s). The interaction result
s in soliton amplification if the soliton arrives at the pumping regio
n not more than 1 mu s after the pumping has been switched on. Otherwi
se, the soliton is scattered by short-exchange-dominated spin waves of
frequency omega(s) parametrically excited by the localized pumping.
