Abstract
Satellites can capture vast amounts of solar energy and transfer it to earth on beams of microwaves. Thanks to the fleets of low-orbiting co mmunications satellites to be launched in the coming decade, the idea is rocketing from utopian pipe dream to near-term practicality.
