Dr. Beck, RELATIVISTIC CONFIGURATION-INTERACTION RESULTS FOR XE32-5, J=2 TO J=3ENERGY DIFFERENCES(, BA34+, ND38+, AND GD42+ D), Physical review. A, 56(3), 1997, pp. 2428-2430
Errors in relalivistic correlated ab initio results for the ''D-5'' J=
2 to J=3 M1 transition, which is nearly constant with Z, have been red
uced from 5% to 1.5% (400 cm(-1)), on average. Beyond the Dirac-Coulom
b level, the principal contributions are from the magnetic operator an
d certain n = 3 single and double excitations (correlation effects).
