Abstract
Elastic phase shifts and scattering cross sections for electron-hydrog en scattering below the n = 2 threshold are carefully evaluated using the hyperspherical close-coupling (HSCC) method. The results are compa red to other benchmark calculations to illustrate the convergence prop erties of the HSCC method. Elastic and inelastic scattering cross sect ions between the n = 2 and n = 3 thresholds are also calculated and co mpared to other benchmark calculations.
