Abstract
Rates for photodetachment from a model potential are calculated in the Floquet approach, with and without allowance for the shift in channel wave numbers induced by the finiteness of the number of multiphoton c hannels included in the calculation. The two sets of results converge to the same limit when more and more channels are taken into account. Convergence is faster in calculations using shifted wave numbers.
