Abstract
Effect of the magnetic field on the energy measurement in electromagne tic and hadronic calorimeters with a sandwich structure (scintillator + absorber + scintillator + ...) is discussed. Curving of the particle trajectories in the magnetic field was simulated by means of the GEAN T3.21 Monte Carlo code. It was shown that the size of the effect depen ds on the material and thickness of the absorber and structural elemen ts, on the scintillator thickness, and on the magnetic-field direction .
