Abstract
We established a new N-N bond cleavage reaction of pyridazino[4,5-b]in doles with ynamines to form 3-(2-pyridyl)indoles. The latter are easil y converted to 3-(2-piperidyl)indoles, which are key intermediates for the synthesis of indole alkaloids.
