The problem of Feynman scaling violation in the processes of the multi
ple hadron production is studied in the context of the dual parton mod
el. It is shown that in the framework of the model there is a simple e
xplanation of the effect, based on the underlying parton kinematics. A
ccording to this, for the rise of the plateau height one has dN/dy \(y
=0) similar or equal to (n(s)).a.(1 -b/In(s/s(0))), where (n(s)) is th
e average number of quark pairs involved in the interaction and the la
st two terms on the right-hand side of the expression describe a viola
tion of the scaling in the production of the secondary particles by th
e quark-quark system. Predictions of the model are compared with the d
ata and various data parametrizations.
