Abstract
The problem of the reinforcement of plane structures with uniformly st ressed fibres of constant cross-section taking the thermal effects int o account is formulated. The properties of the solution of this proble m, which are determined by the heat conduction equation and the condit ion of constancy of the cross-sections of the fibres, are investigated . The effect of the temperature held on the structure of the reinforce ment is analysed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
