EXPERIMENTAL-STUDY AND CLINICAL-APPLICATION OF AN AIR-PRESSURE VASCULAR CLAMP

An air pressure vascular clamp was developed for vascular surgery, On 90 rats, 172 vascular injury experiments and 37 vascular anastomoses e xperiments were done to compare this clamp with two other vascular cla mps commonly used clinically. Using light and electron microscopic exa minations, it was found that the air pressure vascular clamp was super ior, Satisfactory results have been obtained in clinical applications on 43 patients with 119 vascular anastomoses.
