Abstract
8-N(3)GMP was synthesised from 8-BrGMP by the addition of LiN3. 8-N(3) GMP was then phosphorylated to N-3-GDP and N-3-GTP by controlled enzym atic reaction. 8-N(3)GDP can be converted to N-3-ppGpp with crude Rel A, which phosphorylates the 3'-OH of GDP. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B. V.
