T. Balint, OPTIMIZATION OF SODIUM-NITRITE BORIC-ACID REVERSE-OSMOSIS (RO)-SEPARATION, Hungarian journal of industrial chemistry, 25(3), 1997, pp. 191-194
For the reason that a single stage RO-separation gives small concentra
tion differences between given solutes, the use of multistage RO-separ
ation is unavoidable with a two-or three-stage RO-processing with vari
ous recirculations, the system becomes rather complicated, so the sear
ch of the optimum (both in technical and economical viewpoints) is a n
ecessary but difficult task. A relatively simple mathematical modellin
g method of the given separation process is discussed in order to find
the optimum separation between sodium nitrate and boric acid in case
of given membrane modules and input concentrations of components.
