Abstract
The reaction between Ru-3(mu-H)(mu 3-C12H15)(CO)(9) and C2Ph2 affords Ru-3(mu(3)-C2Ph2Cl2H16)(mu-CO)2(CO)(6), characterized by a single-crys tal X-ray structure determination. Addition of the alkyne to the clust er-bonded Cia ligand gives a bicyclic 12/5 system incorporating the ce ntral ruthenium atom of a bent Ru-3 chain.
