Abstract
The four-quasiparticle magnetic dipole band in Ba-128 has been investi gated with the Zr-96(S-36,4n)Ba-128 reaction at the GASP spectrometer of the Laboratori Nazionali di Legnaro. Linking transitions to the pre viously known positive parity states have been observed for the first time in this mass region and new transitions on top of the band have b een found. The experimental results are compared to previously made ti lted axis cranking calculations.
