Abstract
The Delta decay in the nuclear medium is calculated in the relativisti c meson-nucleon model. The a spreading width is calculated and compare d with the Pauli-blocked pi N decay width. The influence of relativist ic mean fields is also studied. We stress the importance of understand ing the a spreading width in interpreting experiments involving Delta resonances.
