Abstract
Estimates of the energy needed for artificial restoration of the ozone layer are made, and various methods proposed for artificial restorati on of ozone are analyzed. A low efficiency of the method of stratosphe ric ozone restoration by a transfer of atmospheric molecular oxygen to the excited state by laser radiation with lambda = 1.27 mu m is demon strated.
