Abstract
Mixed colonies of Lasius carniolicus from S-France revealed that Lasiu s (Lasius s.str.) piliferus Seifert, 1992, which itself is new to Fran ce, is one of the host species of this temporary social parasite. Othe r host species are Lasius (Cautolasius) flavus and probably further me mbers of the Lasius alienus-group, though direct evidence is very scar ce.
