In advance of treatment in the Flora of Australia and other publicatio
ns, four new taxa of Melaleuca are described and illustrated: M. cajup
uti subsp. platyphylla Barlow, M. clarksonii Barlow, M. fluviatilis Ba
rlow, and M. stipitata Craven; and two new combinations are made: M. c
ajuputi subsp. cumingiana (Turczaninow) Barlow and M. squamophloia (By
rnes) Craven.
