ADAPTING BUILDING LIME STANDARD DIN-1060, PART-1 01.86 TO MATCH THE PROVISIONS OF ENV-459 .1./

The yellow draft of the Building Lime Standard DIN 1060, Part 1, was p ublished in February 1994. The draft standard already takes account of the definitions in the European Building Lime Standard ENV 4591, Part 1. This article deals with the important provisions such as the defin itions, the chemical and physical requirements and the test methods. A s yet there is no European monitoring procedurel, so the previous nati onal procedure will be retained. It is expected that the white draft o f the building lime standard will be available by the end of 1994. The present DIN 10601, Part 1, will have to be withdrawn when an agreed E uropean EN Building Lime Standard is available, probably in 1997.
