N. Ogrinc et al., THE SOURCES OF DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON IN PORE WATERS OF LACUSTRINE SEDIMENT, Water, air and soil pollution, 99(1-4), 1997, pp. 333-341
The processes regulating the concentration and isotopic composition of
dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) in pore water were investigated in t
hree different parts of Lake Bled. It was found that the isotopic comp
osition of dissolved inorganic carbon (DIG) is strongly influenced by
methanogenesis. Simple diagenetic model reproduces the observed carbon
-isotope profiles and the DIC concentration data resonably well in inv
estigated parts. This findings lead us to conclude that the majority o
f processes affecting DIC are taken into account in the model.
