Abstract
The cultured suspension cells of Marchantia polymorpha hydrolyzed cycl ohexanone enol acetates with 2-alkyl groups to afford optically active ketones. The stereoselectivity of the protonation of the enol interme diate was reversed when the chain length of alkyl substituents was inc reased. (C) 1997 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
