Abstract
The kinetics of chemiluminescence accompanying the thermal decompositi on of tetramethyl-1,2-dioxetane (TMD) in a polymethyl methacrylate mat rix and a polystyrene matrix has been investigated at isothermal and n on-isothermal conditions. Induced decomposition of TMD by excited acti vator-9,10-dibromoanthracene (DBA)-has been observed for a PMMA matrix and the energy transfer radius for this process has been estimated. T he different values of activation parameters obtained by both methods are discussed. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
