Sr. Mcconochie et al., ANGULAR-DEPENDENCE OF MAGNETIZATION REVERSAL IN GAMMA-FE2O3 SINGLE PARTICLES - AN EXPERIMENTAL AND MODELING STUDY, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(5), 1997, pp. 3043-3045
The switching field for isolated gamma-Fe2O3 magnetic particles has be
en investigated as a function of the applied field angle both experime
ntally and numerically. Micromagnetic simulations for a typical measur
ed particle with cubic crystalline directions of < 100 > and < 110 > w
ith respect to its long axis were compared directly with experimental
results, At large applied field angles, the agreement between experime
ntal results and numerical simulations was poor, However, at the small
er applied field angles the simulations gave reasonable agreement with
the experimental results.
