M. Yamaguchi et al., HIGH-FREQUENCY IMPEDANCE OF CUBE SOLID PINS USED FOR FAST COMPUTER CONNECTORS, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(5), 1997, pp. 3316-3318
High frequency characteristics and mechanical properties of CuBe alloy
pins are evaluated to meet the fast computer connector requirements.
A new jig to measure the 1 MHz -1GHz impedance of the pins is develope
d. The inductance and the cross-talk for CuBe pins were similar to tho
se of phosphor bronze pins because both are non-magnetic materials. Th
e feature of CuBe alloy pins are low ac resistance and good mechanical
deflection properties in the case of short pins which is desirable fo
r miniaturized connector development.
