A. Slawskawaniewska et al., ON THE ROLE OF A MAGNETIC COUPLING BETWEEN CRYSTALLINE GRAINS IN NANOCRYSTALLINE ALLOYS, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(5), 1997, pp. 3727-3729
Basic differences between magnetic properties of Fe-Cu-Nb-Si-B and Fe-
Cr-Cu-Nb-Si-B nanocrystalline alloys are explained in terms of a magne
tic coupling between nanocrystalline grains. It has been shown that in
the magnetic behavior of Finemet alloy with high crystalline fraction
the ferromagnetic exchange interactions plays the crucial role even a
t temperatures above the Curie point of the amorphous phase. Much weak
er magnetic interactions in Fe-Cr based alloys with low crystalline co
ntents are responsible for the hardening of the material and rapid mag
netic decoupling of the grains with increasing temperature.
