M. Pardavihorvath et G. Vertesy, MINOR LOOP BEHAVIOR IN CLASSICAL PREISACH HYSTERETIC SYSTEMS, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(5), 1997, pp. 3975-3977
Minor loop behavior have been investigated experimentally on magnetica
lly uniaxial films of YIG based garnets and MnBi all having the easy d
irection of the magnetization perpendicular to the film plane and unit
squareness In these films the magnetization changes by domain wall mo
tion. A regular two-dimensional array of small, strongly uniaxial part
icles, etched from one of the films, is switching by rotation. The wip
ing out property is observed for each sample, however, the congruence
of the minor loops is fulfilled only for the 2D array, for minor loops
centered on the H=0 axis. Accommodation of minor loops is observed fo
r MnBi Depending on the start field of the switching process, the samp
les can be prepared to display minor loops of very different shape.
