Abstract
In the paper the problems linked to the choice of the reference magnet ic quantity, when electromagnetic devices are supplied by non sinusoid al voltage is In particular, the voltage waveforms by two main convert ers, usually adopted industrial applications [2], are taken into accou nt. After wide discussion the authors suggest the use of the first har monic flux density peak as reference magnetic quantity.
