Abstract
A highly modified Philips CM20 microscope has been used to study the m agnetisation process in two CoPt alloys. The samples were imaged as a field was being applied, enabling a detailed description of the magnet isation process to be obtained. Magnetic resolution of approximately 5 0nm was achieved throughout.
